Meet David R. Turok, DDS, FAGD
Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Dr. Turok grew up in Virginia
Beach, Virginia. He received his Undergraduate degree at the University
of Virginia and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Virginia
Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Dr. Turok then completed a
post-graduate AEGD residency (Advanced Education in General Dentistry) at
the University of Florida School of Dentistry where he received
comprehensive training in advanced cosmetic and restorative dentistry,
orthodontics, surgical implant placement and implant restoration.
Dr. Turok has completed extensive Continuing Education programs on cutting
edge dental technologies, including courses at Spear Education- where he
is a Faculty Club member, the Dawson Academy, Piper- Mckee TMJ
Education, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry and
Invisalign training
amongst many others. He has achieved Fellowship Status with the Academy
of General Dentistry, an achievement held by less than 6% of General
Dentists. Dr. Turok serves as a board member of AES (American
Equilibration Society), an organization focusing on Occlusion, TMD, and
Comprehensive Care. In 2022 Dr. Turok received AES Fellowship , becoming
the 13th Fellow in the organization's 69 year history. In 2024, Dr.
Turok was inducted as a member of the American Academy of
Restorative Dentistry (AARD), one of the proudest moments of his dental
career.
Additional focuses have included Facially-Generated Cosmetic Treatment
Planning and Dental Sleep Medicine in treatment of Sleep Apnea and Snoring.
Dr. Turok is a member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and
serves as The Clinical Director of Dental Sleep Medicine at the practice.
His passion is Digital Smile Design where he is able to design his
cosmetic cases and communicate the plans digitally to patients to give them
away to "try their smile" before proceeding with any treatment. He is one
of the only few in the Chicagoland area with a Smile Designer Certification through the Smilefy Academy.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Turok gives back to the community through
various dental outreach programs, including Special Olympics, Dental
Access Days, and Team Smile- where every year he links with the Chicago
Bears to provide free dentistry for children in need. He enjoys all sports,
including golf, squash, soccer, snowboarding. His recent passion has become

with his ever growing family- wife- Doniele , son- Jax, and daughters- Joey and Parker.
